WORKGROUP OBJECTIVES

  1. Review and evaluate available data about frequency and clinical characteristics of COPD or asthma colonized patients compared to data from network cohorts.
  2. Review and evaluate the available data about frequency and clinical characteristics of infants with Pneumocystis infection compared to data from the network cohort.
  3. To establish protocols to develop clinical studies on neonatal Pneumocystis infection and colonization in chronic lung diseases.
  4. Organize meetings, STSMs, and / or training schools to address key areas regarding treatment options and monitoring strategies in patients with infection or colonization by P. jirovecii.
